When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

This privacy statement discloses the types of information We gather, how We use it, how We protect it, and how to correct or change it.

If You don’t want Us to know any particular information about You, don’t include it in anything You post or submit to Expert Pantry and do not send it to Expert Pantry in an e-mail and do not tell Us on the phone and do not tell Us in a Chat. We will share Your Personally Identifying Information (PII) with third parties only in the ways described in this Privacy Statement.  We do not otherwise share Your PII with third parties.  We do not sell Our Visitor or User or Customer or Client information.

As is true of most websites, We gather web server log file information automatically such as Your type of browser, landing/referring/visited/exit pages, time of day, IP address, geo-location, and operating system. You may also opt out of or opt in to Expert Pantry marketing and survey preferences when You register as a User on Our Site.  You may also unsubscribe in an opt out link which appears at the end of each communication.  Our Chat Service is initiated by You and does not have an opt out link.  Our Client Service(s) require You to cancel the Service to effectively “opt out”.

In order to purchase Our Product or to use Our Service, You consent to receive communications related to the Product purchase or to use the purchased Service from Expert Pantry electronically, including, without limitation, by e-mail. You agree all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications Expert Pantry provides to You electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. In order for You to withdraw consent to receive Product or Service notices electronically, You must notify Expert Pantry of Your withdrawal of such consent (see above) and discontinue Your (and Your Users) use of Expert Pantry.

All information gathered on Our website is stored within a database accessible only to Expert Pantry and its specifically authorized contractors and vendors.  We may use or confidentially share Your personal information to support products or services You have obtained from us, such as notifying You of a product update or fix.

We employ appropriate procedural and technological security measures, reasonably designed to help protect Your information from loss, misuse, disclosure, or alteration.  This includes passwords, encryption, and other security measures to help prevent unauthorized access to Your information. We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to encrypt the transmission of data for Expert Pantry payment, login, Services, and other sensitive pages or communications.  

The file contents and data transmitted as part of Our Client Services (“Client Data”) is in encrypted form and We do not have access to Your Client Data in its unencrypted form.  Expert Pantry also gathers information related to Our Client Services including configuration of the Services, performance metrics, and Your computer’s interactions with the Service. Expert Pantry may use this information without restriction in order to understand traffic, provide You with technical support, and in general do what is necessary to provide You with Our Service.

We use cookies sent to Your browser and stored on Your computer to allow You to login to Your account. We may use technologies such as Our own cookies to provide You with enhanced online display marketing tailored to Your interests. You can set Your browser options to reject cookies or notify You when a website tries to put a cookie into Your browser.  If You elect to disable cookies, please note that You may not be able to take full advantage of a personalized experience on Expert Pantry and certain features may not be available to You.

If You sign up or request something from Expert Pantry, for example, a Product, a Service, a Newsletter, a Webinar, a callback, or other specific request, We will use the information You provide to fulfill Your request. To help Us do this, We may share information in a confidential manner with others, for instance, Expert Pantry’s financial institutions or shipping companies involved in fulfillment.

Certain online transactions may involve You calling Us or Us calling You. They may also involve online chats. Please be aware that it is Expert Pantry’s general practice to monitor and in some cases record such interactions for staff training or quality assurance purposes or to retain evidence of a particular transaction or interaction.

We will occasionally provide anonymized aggregated statistics about Our Visitors and Our Users in reports to third parties or to the general public. These reports will never identify individual Expert Pantry Users.

We will retain Your information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

If You want to request access to Your personal information, please contact Us (see above).  We will make commercially reasonable efforts to provide You access to any of Your PII in Our possession.  In the unlikely event that We cannot provide You access to this information, We will explain why We cannot do so.

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.  A parent or guardian should contact Expert Pantry if they become aware their child has provided Us with personal information.  We will take reasonable steps to delete such information from Our database within a reasonable time.

Expert Pantry is controlled and operated by Us from the United States and is not intended to subject Us to the laws or jurisdiction of any state, country or territory other than that of the United States.

This Privacy Policy and terms shall be constructed, and interpreted, and enforced under and in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota.

Please be aware in certain circumstances, personal information may be subject to disclosure to government agencies to satisfy legal obligations.
